Pictures of the New Yankee Stadium, and Old

Just went to a Yankees game, my first time in the new stadium.

For more info on Yankee Stadium

It looks fantastic, check out these pictures:

Yankee Stadium

Above photo is the outside view, it is reminiscent of the Colosseum in Rome...
 don't you think so....?

Colosseum

Outside, the stadium is decorated with images of the current Yankees:

Inside the stadium looks fantastic, with green grass and a sea of blue seats....

Yankee Stadium View from Back

There is a large screen TV near the rear of the stadium with very crisp images.  Another nice thing about this stadium, they have not overdone it with the advertisements, so it looks very classy inside.

The main difference between the new stadium and the old one is the open air walk ways behind the seats.  Apparently this is the trend among new stadiums being built.  Here is the view on the second teir in the main area, there are high-countertop areas to place your drinks and food and stand and eat.  There are also TV's everywhere, just in case you cannot see what is right in front of you!  During games people crowd around in this shady area and munch away.  In the old stadium there would have been a wall here instead of a table surface.

Last picture, here is a shot from the Metro-North stairway looking out at the new stadium.  What's with the construction infront of the stadium... the one full of dusty dirt?  That is the old stadium, the house that Babe Ruth built....  it stands no more: :'-(

Thanks for looking!  The pictures give you an idea, but it is worth seeing on your own:)!
